Here we describe the media spaces provisioned by meet.coop, incuding the specific privileges, obligations, protocols and sanctions of media spaces ((POPS).
Media spaces are one element of the **stack of spaces** provisioned by meet.coop: see Spaces
Media spaces are digitally mediated spaces where participants interact through curated/moderated asynchronous digital media: mostly **text media**. Text-based media spaces in meet.coop include a forum, a handbook and a website.
meet.coop also provisions video media spaces (mp4 meeting recordings and full presentations) for individual [Big Blue Button]] accounts, via the account’s Greenlight control panel.
Seen as commons, media spaces are commons of **asynchronous** **digital media**. Thus they call for protocols that differ in some respects from those for platform spaces (commons of running code) and venue spaces (commons of capability, live mutual engagement and relationship).
